Round 3 of the sound-alike projects in studio at Belmont University! Here, we recorded a sound-alike of Albert Hammond’s, ‘It Never Rains in Southern California’. Touch is crucial on this one. My main goal while tracking this was to provide a stable, uplifting but not overpowering, cushion for the other musicians to sit on in order for us all to give the support needed for the vocalist to flow over the top of our playing. Not too loud, nice and laid back, pocketed, and relaxed. Great late night session this was. Finished up at 1 AM!
